You're a quite the dramatic goofball. ;) I already almost went hysterical today, but I guess watching this + eating M&Ms + being bone tired = equals stupidly laughing over a computer screen. I made a big show of drugging myself with vitamins and immune boost thing-a-ma-bobs...and I almost threw up whatever it was I ingested. I think it had elderberries and vinegar in it. Gross. Apparently it helps prevent sore throats? HA. Well, too bad for the side-effects.
WHY ARE YOU TALKING?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!? You'll lose your voice forever!! Seriously. Rest yourself AND your voice A.S.A.P.
I actually made those videos last night. I think I will be better by Thurs. I hope. :D My throat and voice feel a little better than before today. Thank you for your concern. You remind me of my mom! Heh. :)
What?! There is NOT pig tushy hair in that Mason jar....is there? Your face at the end was hilarious.
Here's another mom-sounding comment, but...I *am* a mom. Just not yours. Anyway, humidifier. Lots of fluids (none very hot as those can be drying). Vitamins. REST--your voice and the rest of you. And pig tushy hair tea, I guess. *shrug*
I'm praying that your voice will be full throttle by Thursday.
I'm actually already doing all of these except the humidifier. I will have to see if we have one. Good new though, my throat and voice already feels a bit better this morning, however, now my nose is a bit runny. :/
I think it will be mostly cleared up by Thurs. though. JUST IN TIME. The biggest problem is that I didn't get really any singing practice in since last Thurs. :(
I'm telling ya - if you don't have a humidifier, boil some water in a pot and then breath in the steam with a towel over your head for a good fifteen minutes. It clears out any mucus like a breeze. Just don't burn yourself. Second degree burns are nasty.
And for heavens sake - don't sing! If you really want to practice, just listen to the music and "mentally" sing. Mental thought process is almost just as important as warming up your voice. If you know how to tap out a song (using your hands to tap out the lyrics) that also helps, too. Just don't do it around people, because then they'll think your insane. :D
And....why were you up at 5:33 AM? Ahem? And I'm not a mother - but I am a twin sister, which is basically the same thing in a weird way. Plus, I believe in common sense - and tirades about getting enough sleep are not excluded to concerned mothers only. Benjamin Franklin would've approved (and he certainly is not anything like your mother or anyone else)
We do have a humidifier, and it is running in my room now. :P
I am not talking period. I won't even talk to my mom. :D
I wasn't up at 5...my blogger time is messed up. Idk why it is so behind. Besides, I have been going to bed early lately so getting up a bit earlier is natural. Basically the same thing huh? Seems legit. Why would Ben approve?
You guys are good for Aidan, LOL. Sometimes he just needs a little beating over the head...erm...gently reproving. He is a guy, after all. ;) And moms need all the help they can get!
Have no fear, he was not up at 5:33 a.m.--more like 9:33. :) I believe his clock/time settings are off. Very good point, though. I'm trying to get him to take a nap right now. But I will only rock his fighting baby brother to sleep, just so ya know. ;)
I'll have to try that sometime................. =) =)
